delicious-logo.pngWhat is Del.icio.us?
Go to the section labeled "What can I use del.icio.us for?"
Let's brainstorm ways to use the ideas given to us here in an educational setting.

Set up a Del.icio.us account NOW!

note: when doing this please keep in mind a "naming convention" for all SLA related user names and pass codes! (I use my Moodle user information for everything school related)

Setting up Delicious

What is tagging?

• simply put they are key words to help organize your websites, much like the word you would put inside a plastic tab on a file folder.
• A tag is a word you use to describe a bookmark. Unlike folders, you make up tags when you need them and you can use as many as you like and edit them to fit your needs

How to tag.
*note: you will also be using tagging in Drupal and teaching your students how to tag appropriately for their benchmarks.

What are teachers expected to do with Del.icio.us?
• share information with peers
• model sharing information for students
• get students to share information with each other

Advanced uses for Del.ici.ous
• add del.icio.us bookmarks to a wiki via RSS code
• collaborate with students or teachers
• subscribe to someone's del.ici.ous RSS feed to keep track of what they bookmark
